Renovation of the cabin is coming on slowly. This stage of The Maker’s Place is being run voluntarily so it may take some time to convert the cabin. We began by knocking down an internal wall to create a bigger room which we hope to be the main craft workshop space. The other room has amazing views over the countryside and will be a Tea room with a little kitchen space and seating. We hope to keep people up to date with any progress as this is such an exciting venture that should be shared, and we would like to invite others to join in the journey.
Our desire is to glorify God in all that is done through the Maker’s Place. We have already had amazing provisions such as being given a huge discount on a Howden's kitchen for the tearoom, a donation of 2 benches for outside, a dishwasher is being donated and some money towards the new flooring has been given.
We have also had great advice from a risk and fire assessment man, which in itself was a real answer to prayer. Tim has decided to give his Friday's to renovating and working at The Maker’s Place, if anyone would like to help and join him or perhaps meet for prayer at the beginning of the day there then please get in contact with him or email info@themakersplace.co.uk.
